As a family who as things stand will not get a place at HW (or BV for that matter) while living less than 500m away from HW (on the old measurements) the fact that on average every year 20 places are awarded to siblings who live further away than us, does c...

How meaningful the figures are is obviously dependent on our respective interest in the debate. To me, they are significant as our house is around 480m from Honeywell (on the old system) so my son would not have gained a place, but 17+ places would have been allocated to children living further away...
