Re: How much do you spend on birthday gifts?

I spend between £10 and £15, sometimes slightly over if it's the very best friend. I think over £20 is too much. I also don't like when my kids get too big/expensive presents.

Re: bureau de change

Thanks all! I have just checked the travelmoney... website and I've found a very good rate close to my office, that's great!
I have also compared with the post office and it is actually not very good, only slightly better than my bank.

Re: Latchmere Rd Car crash 11/2/14: Appeal for witnesses

Hi, sorry I'm not a witness but I am a personal injury solicitor. I've just had a look at some case law and most of the time when a collision occurs with an emergency vehicle there is a split of liability, although sometimes it is held that the emergency driver is 100% liable. It would be better if ...

Re: Wix School - Opinions

Wix achieved better results than Belleville at the Key Stage 2 league tables 2013, slightly behind Honeywell: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/leaguetables/10507776/Primary-school-league-tables-2013-compare-your-schools-performance.html#area/Wandsworth There is certainly a high number of childre...

Re: 3 nights away w/out kids? UK or away?

Last year we had 4 days and we went to Florence. it was fantastic. Depending what you want really, resting in a luxury hotel in the sun, or if you like art, culture and gastronomy (and wine!), Florence is a good option.

Re: Kids Ski wear

If you go skiing in France you will see that the vast majority of children wear Decathlon ski wear. These are good quality, good value and you should find everything you need. You could go to their London store - Surrey Quays, Canada Water (quite a pain to drive there but worth it - I'd recommend th...

Re: Hey new to the website

Welcome! From my experience (I have 3 children) the older child/children feel much more rewarded if THEY choose and give a present to the new baby, rather than receiving something themselves. My older children remember which one of the cuddly toy they gave the baby even after a few years. I doubt th...

The Lavender

Hi there, I just wanted to write a nice review about The Lavender restaurant on Lavenderhill. I discovered it a few weeks ago when I just had a glass of wine and some Italian nibbles (ham, mortadella...), and yesterday evening I went to their lobster evening (they do it every Thusrday), which was fa...

Re: Reviews and ideas for Christmas presents please?

I have 2 children now aged 3.5 and 7 and for the last few years we have played a lot Who's Who, memory, uno, monopoly (but this one will probably be better in a few years time) and, last but not least, "1000 bornes" (not sure it exists here though but you will find it in France), by far th...
