Re: Action plan to improve road safety for children attending schools in Balham

Interesting pics circulated on other networks.

I can't imagine how the one way system will work.

Does this mean it will be impossible to drive down Boundaries Road to The Regent without going around?

Re: Home always dirty/messy after father in law visit - advice please

I feel your pain. So I think there are a few things to consider. Firstly, how old is he and could this be the symptom of something else? People do behave oddly as they get older and set in their ways but could this be the start of something like dementia etc? I only ask because most people don't rea...

Re: Dilemma SIL

Feel your pain! I think it's rare that these situations are actually about the issue which is visible, they're almost always a symptom of something else. Were the siblings competitive as children? Is one much more or much less successful now? Do they have children and are all the children similar in...

Matt Hancock Wandsworth pub quiz

I subscribe to a pop culture gossip email and they wrote that Mat Hancock was part of the winning team at the East Hill pub quiz in Wandsworth a week last Sunday. His team name was Professor Quiz Whitty. Which has to be one of the kindest things he has been called in a long time. Hancock.jpeg

So sorry you had to go through this.

Can I ask roughly how old the person was? As in a teenager or someone older?

Thank you.

Re: Further Restrictions for Traffic on Wandsworth Bridge / Wandsworth Bridge Road - A Nightmare for Wandsworth Resident

Screenshot 2022-11-14 at 12.05.23.png It's really hard to work out the ramifications but this is my take. They will enforce no-go areas in all of the residential roads to the East and West of Wandsworth Bridge Road. They will also enforce no-go areas in the residential roads around Parsons Green. T...

Re: Deputy Head of Pastoral Thomas's Battersea pleads guilty to sex crimes

I agree SWt.

You can have all the school ski chalets in the world but all pretty meaningless in a situation like this.

This could have been so much worse.

Re: Deputy Head of Pastoral Thomas's Battersea pleads guilty to sex crimes

I agree with everything that MLD has just written. First and foremost this is a tragic situation for the all involved, so many pupils, friends, family, colleagues and such like will be massively impacted by this -  truly truly awful. In addition, the perpetrators of this sort of abuse were, very oft...

Re: Nursery Fees

It's a huge amount but I feel we have underpaid workers for many many years. One of the benefits/costs (depending on your outlook) of Brexit is that a lot of cheap labour went home and we're now having to pay "proper" rates for staff. However I would have thought that this should drive inn...
