Re: Does anyone know when Sainsbury's Bellevue opens?

Thanks guys for the info on the deli. Super excited about that. Very sorry for local business owners that a large corporate like Sainsburys is coming to town and will prob undercut the independents. Talkman, why the chip on your shoulder? I just happened to read the thread re Thomas' as well. No nee...

Re: A £1200 pram!

My chameleon has got squeaky wheels and no matter how much oil i (or my husband) pour in them it's still making a ridiculous noise as we walk down the street. it's driving me crazy! what to do?!

Re: Verbally abusive nanny?

I agree with the last post, i'm afraid. I paid over the odds for a "mature English nanny with over 10 years experience", and what i got was the worst experience one could ever imagine. Now i have a filipino nanny (thankfully from the same agency so i didn't have to double up on fees) and s...

Re: Tuscany with a new born??!?

We are going to Borgo San Pietro later this month with my 16 month old. Very different age to your newborn but they are apparently very child friendly and are going to cook all my daughter's meals for her - fantastic!

Good luck with the pregnancy and birth!

Re: Does anyone know when Sainsbury's Bellevue opens?

Is there really a Sainsburys opening on Bellevue? The stretch where Chez Bruce etc is? That is seriously tragic. What we really need is a gourmet deli/bakery.

Re: Back carriers

We just bought the Little Life voyager. It's brilliant, extremely comfortable for both parent and child. Highly recommend.

Re: Parkgate Nursery.

Well done for getting a place! I registered my daughter in Jan 2010 (when she was c 3 months) for a place in 2012 and am on the waiting list - so i wonder how far in advance one has to register in order to secure a place!! It's crazy! From the research I've done and people i have spoken to, it seems...

Re: Drawing/Painting place in Clapham/Battersea?

Try the 1'oclock club off Bolingbroke. I went there for the first time the other day, and was amazed at the facilities they have, and it's free!

Re: Tiger Mother - this is SO annoying

I agree with a lot of her principles and in fact i am similar to her in several ways. For example, i think playdates are over-rated and i'm not sure i would allow my daughter to go on a sleepover. (she is currently 14 months so it is early days). At the end of the day, I think it is about being conf...

Videomaker

Hi, I am looking for someone who can create a DVD for me from my camcorder recordings. I know you can buy software to do this at home but I would love something a bit more professional looking! The idea is to create a DVD of my daughter's 1st year to give as a present. If anybody provides this servi...

Re: Broomwood Hall insights please

I also really liked Thomas' and found the environment stimulating.

Not sure about violetmummy's reference to city bankers, sounds quite prejudiced to me.
