Current Estate Agent fee when selling a house

Hello,

We are selling a flat in Tooting and have been quoted a 2.5% +VAT or 3% +VAT multiple listings from a local agent, it seems a bit high. We've read that 1-1.5% is more the norm.

Has anyone listed recently? Could you let me know what fee you were able to get?

Any advice is welcome!

Keys Found on Wandsworth Common

I found 2 sets of keys on Wandsworth Common not far from the little duck pond off Bolingbroke Grove this morning around 11:30. Another dog walker & I hung the keys from the playing posts in the field, hoping that whoever lost them would retrace their steps for them. If they are yours and you can...

Re: Newton Prep V Eaton House

Hello, I have 2 kids at Newton Prep and have been there for 7 years now and highly recommend it. We really love the school. There are many incredibly bright children at the school, but many of our kids are just normal bright (after all, who doesn't want to think of their children as bright.) It's no...

Re: Best campsites in France

We stayed at Huttopia in Versailles a few weeks ago. We wanted to be close to Versailles and Paris, so it was a good option. They have other campsites with more activities around France and based on our experience this summer, I would definitely check out their other camp sites.

Re: Mommy Guilt: Too Many Moves for a Little One

Hi Rachel, We went through a similar move when my daughter was just about 3 and again when she was just about 5. Prior to leaving the US, I consulted with a children's therapist who told me that our attitude on the move would influence the kids. So if we were positive, that would help. I think you a...

Re: MMR and Autism Link

I've been reading this conversation with some interest. I am glad that someone pointed out that the science behind these fears have been discredited. I did separate my kids vaccinations, but about the time my kids were being vaccinated they started phasing thermisol (mercury) out of the vaccines. It...

Re: KCWC Easter Party

It's the same for parents - £20 per person. The money goes to pay the hall, buy food, hire entertainers and supplies. The bulk of the work is done by volunteers. Any money raised after paying costs, will go into the KCWC Charity account and given to the KCWC Charities. Right now the KCWC supports Th...
