Re: Gynecologist specialising in menopause

https://www.womenswellnesscentre.com/consultants-specialists/ Highly recommend WWC in Fulham Road? Nick Panay is a long standing menopause expert and several other specific experts in house? highly professional and very caring. Well done for being proactive. So many of us let it creep up on us, with...

Re: Dog walker in Clapham South

Hi - without wanting to scupper any potentially wonderful encounters between pooches and part time carers, just wanted to alert anyone looking for dog care that both Wandsworth and Lambeth are currently reviewing their animal welfare permit parameters. This is in the wake of the horrific death of th...

Re: teacher trying to humiliate ny son in front of class

Slightly taken aback by the polarisation above? Agree with number28 and AJ2012 - get the full story from every perspective as a matter of urgency. At an appropriate moment, talk to your son quietly and his side of the story should emerge? Patently, everyone involved will have their own version? Howe...

Re: Increase in out of control dogs on the common?

Thank you for posting these timely observations? Sadly, this is a really relevant point which is doubly important because of the recent exponential rise in dog attacks on humans.  Nearly 10,000 people are hospitalised every year and injuries from dog attacks are now costing the NHS more than £70mill...

UPDATED: Calling any Aussie expats? Christmas Mercy Mission? Success!

Just wanted to let you know about the amazing response to this plea?  Our Aussie friends' 16 yo son needed somewhere to come to in the UK to resolve Schengen visa exigencies and they were hoping that he could also have a decent Xmas to boot. He is in Europe with the Aus national junior biathlon team...

Re: Have you been to Emma Cannon?

Interesting thread - It's nearly 10 years now but after a long, and often tough, rollercoaster, I went to PJ Cousin at Cure by Nature in Replingham Road? He is something of a legend, responsible for hundreds of babies, but super discreet. I truly believe our daughter would not be here without him? B...

Re: Taxi to airport?

https://www.londonheathrowcars.com Can’t recommend highly enough? Not the cheapest but clean cars, super professional, helpful drivers and always punctual?  Have you explored valet parking? Can be competitive if you book well ahead? For Gatwick, train always worth a look as is so fast from Clapham J...

Re: Fertility acupuncture in SW London near Putney/Fulham

Pierre Jean Cousin at Cure by Nature in Replingham Road is the genial expert! He comes highly recommended and the gallery of baby photos in the clinic are testament to his success? I honestly don't think our daughter would be here without the treatment I had, both before and throughout my pregnancy?...

Re: being lobbied very hard to get dog, what is a good first family dog?

I really, really have to agree with everything posted by CorianderStreet above? We know at least two families who have, of course utterly inadvertently, bought from puppy farms with concomitant distress and heartbreak for the family and terrifyingly huge vet bills while propping up a truly disgustin...

Re: Thomas’s battersea family to speak to?

IMHO you are doing absolutely the right thing in looking for a family to chat to? Ideally chat to more than one, with kids of distinct ages and genders? All of us are very lucky in this particular neck of the SW London woods to have such a high number of really excellent schools (although this means...

Re: SPEEDING PETITION - CAN YOU HELP US BY SIGNING? TIA!

Apologies if our neighbourhood initiative to try and make our own streets safer for everybody using them appears to have touched a nerve? The legal limit is 20 mph and we experience regular, frequent and flagrant breaches of this limit as people try and avoid the inevitable queues around the one way...

SPEEDING PETITION - CAN YOU HELP US BY SIGNING? TIA!

The Elsynge and Spencer Roads Neighbourhood Watch are working to get WBC to assess our chronic speeding problems, with rat runners turning off St John's Hill and Marcilly Road on the one way system?  Scores of non-resident drivers regularly & flagrantly break the 20mph limit and we have been wor...

Re: Advice on english lessons for my au pair

A couple of years ago, our then au pair went to Englishouse at Putney Bridge - wasn't cheap but wasn't silly money and she made swift progress with their methods? As someone who works with languages myself, I really commend their approach? Wishing her luck!

Re: Cookease Cookery classes for 2-4 year olds

Our lively three year old just loved her classes at Cookease and came home every week with a renewed interest in food, in where the original ingredients come from and in how to cook them. Like so many toddlers, she can be extremely fussy and unadventurous, so this new curiosity was very welcome inde...
