100% agree with what others are saying. It is illegal. Have you looked at other forms of childcare? I found childminders are more affordable and flexible than having a nanny. Hi yes you need legal advice ASAP. You haven’t given information on the ‘battery’ charges - did you abuse your husband and child and has that been repeated recently? By what you say I would think you may want to seek therapy as well.

Go with your gut. A teenager in London with no parents sounds like a recipe for disaster. Or at least a lot of work for you in addition to your kids. Could she come down to London for a week long module or two over the half terms to build up her portfolio? She could do courses at Central St Martins ...

Also there may be a statute of limitations of 12 years so you have missed this. Incidentally we bought a property that didn’t have bldg regs on works carried out in 2005 so the seller got indemnity insurance.
