I believe you can put your name down for any school. If they have a free place and you are top of the waiting list, they have to offer it to you. So dont give up on Chestnut Grove. Many families will have moved or taken up private school places since they applied in October last year. And once term ...

If it is for Y7 the fact there are empty spaces speaks volumes. The LA has fulfilled its obligation to you by offering you a place. So you need to accept it. But in parallel, you can put your name on the waiting list for any other school and if a place comes up and you meet the selection criteria th...

While I sympathise with those unable to find a nursery place, I think the principle of ensuring that common land is retained for all and not used for private purposes is hugely important. The only reason we still have commons is that previous generations have upheld this principle.
