I think the mortgage lender may do their own but we have been told to also have a full structural survey done independently. I thought that was standard but as a first-time homebuyer I don’t know. Always go through the contract and proposed warranties with a fine tooth comb and if possible seek the services of a Chartered building surveyor to help you.
