Selfish parking

I live on a street where it is impossible to park especially when others don’t show any consideration - well we all probably do . One particular resident consistently takes at least another space up since she is worried about damage to her car - usually she lives 4 feet in front and 3 feet in back i...

Re: Professional make up recommendations please?

There are lots of good artists at Harvey Nics. I used to go to Caesar at Giorgio Armani but Dior, Charlotte Tilbury and Laura Mercier are also good

Re: Action plan to improve road safety for children attending schools in Balham

Ms Rigby : perhaps you would like to visit the disruption that this scheme has caused . Pupils walking in the street, cars making u turns , a zebra crossing in an awkward position . All for the bargain price of £150,000 . So happy my taxes go towards paying for your pet projects .

Re: Interior designer/decorator

I paid a flat fee of £25,000 to have an house . It sounds expensive but it has taken 3 years and includes sourcing furniture etc- I think the hourly rate was about £750 - he is one of the top designers in the U.K. . I once used a wonderful place on Northcote Rd near the Franck Manca ( same side ) an...

Re: Action plan to improve road safety for children attending schools in Balham

Funny , the councillor in charge of this scheme and who is celebrating its success once said on twitter she carries a D lock when cycling . Is this becoming a thing for cyclists or is she just promoting her scheme in disguise ? As an addendum , now the scheme is up and running it has turned out to b...

Re: Be breast aware - our managing ed shares her story

I’m 8 years clear ! Good luck to her. I was going to recommend Dr Liz ‘a book as well as her website . One thing that is important is afterwards when all the medical support stops . Lymphedema and the effects of hormone therapy can be a struggle . Book massage for Lymphedema before the signs as it c...

Re: Who else feels outraged about what councils have done to Wandsworth Bridge Rd and Streatham  High Rd

I agree with your sentiments about them being poorly executed . But entitled drivers ? Have you ever actually looked at the majority of drivers during the day ? I have. Where I live and especially Trinity Road , they are mostly van drivers. Trucks , delivery vans or elderly people . I don’t own a ca...

Re: What Wandworth council won’t tell you when they say they are freezing next years council tax…

Sad but very true . I really don’t care what party manages my borough if they do it well . I have lived inn this borough for over 30 years and can observe that the last 2 years it has gone down dramatically . Litter, reduced services and changes to street layouts that no one wants . I am also appall...
