Re: Au pair’s food costs

I think 25 is more than reasonable! To be honest you do not have to cater for her diet, food is food and if she decides on a certain lifestyle then she can cater for it.

Re: Tutoring for 10+ exams

I must admit I sort of jumped the tutor bandwagon too as I was getting nervous about my eldest' exams. We had tutors from different agencies which were all great, but it was hard to schedule with their timetables as most of them were students. We sort of had a tutor on and off and the improvement wa...

Re: Paying for childcare cash in hand - what's the view?

I do not think this is morally right. Childcare is a job like any other and all nannies/childminders deserve a good contract with paid taxes.

Re: Anyone tried this nanny alternative?

I think it’s a great concept. Does anyone know which schools they pick up from? My concern is that it’ll only be ones in and around Chelsea They pick up from any school and the tutoring hours don't start until the child has arrived at the study house. Mine come from two different schools and they w...

Re: Anyone tried this nanny alternative?

Re: Anyone tried this nanny alternative?

"Only" £949 per month per child? It's great to not have to see them at the weekend though! By "them" do you mean your children?! The reason we have signed up is so that I get to have more time with my children without having to worry about any academic stuff. We used to do a min...

Re: Alternative Piano Tutor Required..

My friend sends her teenagers to a tutor in Shoreditch. He teaches in his own studio but believe he also does home visits. Very cool and trendy but apparently the guy is very lovely and kids love going. Let me know if you want his details.
