Re: Should I keep trying to persuade my husband to have a third child?

It is a really tricky one. One of my closest friends was in a similar situation more based on the fact that she had two boys and wanted a girl. She had suffered mild PND and her husband wasn't keen at all. She persisted and they went ahead and her pink bundle was a joy all round. Not sure if that he...

Re: Upholstery suppliers.

There is a place on Balham High road called WIMSEW its next to the Wimbledon Sewing Machine shop - near to Halfords at the Tooting Bec end of Balham High Road. I would think that it will have everything that you need.

Re: how do i get my sibling to help with my ill mother?

Why do brothers think that it is a sisters job to do this work!! I'd suggest getting together for coffee (when allowed)  to decide how best you are going to manage your mother's situation between you. Maybe send an email or text ahead of the actual meeting so that he knows what he will be expected t...

Re: Orthodontist

The Battersea Rise Orthodontic Practice does both NHS and private? Unless that has recently changed?
If you think your child would qualify for NHS maybe try to get a referral to one of the dental clinics?

Good luck finding one.

Re: Trinity School, Croydon

So many children head to the Croydon Schools from SW11, 12, 18. I would think that your son will be in great company. As many have said they travel via Clapham Junction, there are loads of children doing this and they all seem to be having a great time from what I have seen. Trinity is a great schoo...

Re: can someone please clarify, are cleaners allowed in lockdown

Not that I am suggesting that everyone is in a position to do this but for those who can maybe it is best that we pay our cleaners but suggest that they stay at home so that this pandemic goes away more quickly. I'm sure that we can all do a few hours cleaning a week for a few weeks to help the situ...

In need of a therapist. Sister woes!

Afternoon everyone. Can anyone recommend a good local therapist? I fell out with my sister big time over the holidays and worry that I'm not seeing straight on this one. Would like to talk to someone not in my family as I don't want their bias or to be honest to make it an even bigger family feud th...

Re: being lobbied very hard to get dog, what is a good first family dog?

a lot of our friends have cavapoos and cockerpoos and one has a cavapouchon which i think is a smaller cavapoo but not exactly sure?  They all seem pretty similar in size and are all very good natured. We have looked after a couple and I think cockerpoos are a bit livelier but that's a straw poll of...

Re: NYE party in the street

Not wishing to challenge what you saw but was there really that many? When we came out to clap for frontline workers over the summer a dozen people seemed like a big gathering and in the still of the night noise travels more easily.  To be honest if all anyone did was wish neighbours a better year o...

Re: Leaflets through door at 6am this morning!

EEErrr where does my sharing that I was woken by leaflets at 6am justify my being called an 'entitled fool'. I wasn't rude, didn't 'out' the particular builder, was simply curious if this had been a mass drop or i had been unlucky.

How much do interior design services cost?

I am thinking that our 4 bedroom terrace needs an overhaul. No construction needed but the bathrooms, master bed and living spaces need attention especially given a year (almost) of working of home. Could anyone tell me what an interior designer costs and if they charge by room or the hour? Any pers...

Re: Advice on way forward regarding fees

Hi Graffi To be honest I would just pick up the phone! I bet that you won't be the only one talking to a bursar or registrations person about something like this. I think that we often forget that fee paying schools are businesses and are very used to have conversations about money. Good luck with it.
