Re: Handknitted baby items- designed to your request?

Sounds great, I love hand knitted things.

Would love a jumper for this winter (for my son), is that something she would do?

Re: Mother slapping her child

It's so easy to judge. You have no idea how stressed she was, or what the circumstances are. Every parent is different, and we can't go around tutting at the way everyone raises their child, there will be people tutting all day. Some people smack, and some don't. Best to just concentrate on your own...

Re: Moroccan Oil

Definitely make sure you buy pure Moroccan Oil and not the cheap stuff.

The pure stuff is brilliant, the cheap stuff not so good.

Re: A little (well, big) rant...look after your babysitters!!!!

Don't think it matters how old your sitter is. And it isn't exactly like any other job. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I sent my sitter home to make her own way in the dark of night on a weekend evening. Half or most of her evenings wages would go on the taxi! I think paying for a taxi home...

Re: A little (well, big) rant...look after your babysitters!!!!

It's just common courtesy to offer a taxi home. Shouldn't even be a thought.

Great if the babysitter drives, but if not, a taxi or lift home should be common practice.

Just basic manners I think.

Re: Recommendation for a Gardener

I emailed Danny from SoulGardeners yesterday. He replied to me, saying he has been receiving a high volume of email and calls, and he is getting back to everyone.

Clearly the fact that they are so busy say's something about them.

They're brilliant.

Re: attempted abduction - Clapham Park area

Surely something so serious should be on the news? Or on the front page of a local newspaper, at least?

Instead it's left for local parents to pick up bits of info from others. If it's at all true and not another scaremongering story.

Re: anyone been to Pro Kut on Chestnut Grove?

I have been to Pro Kut, saw the car in the window and decided to give it a go. They charge £9, and although the haircut was very good, the man certainly wouldn't be able to cut with a screaming toddler. He didn't speak English very well, and didn't say much really. So unless your toddler sits still...

Re: St Georges

That is so wonderful to hear. It must make the team at George's feel really good to know their services are so appreciated, as sometimes it can be such a thankless job.

Have heard so much St. Georges bashing recently, and I am just very pleased to hear such a positive story.

Re: do I kick him out?

I'm so sorry that you're going through this, I can imagine how insecure you must feel knowing that your husband may be cheating. Are you certain about this? What makes you think he is cheating, etc? And what is your day to day life like with him as a husband? Do you go out together, go on holidays e...
