Gardener for a replanting and spruce.

Can anyone recommend a gardener for a small garden in need of a spruce and replanting as opposed to  full landscaping. We keep saying that we will do it but I am finally resigned to the fact that we won't. Any personal recommendations much appreciated.

How much cash for a wedding gift?

Can anyone help with this? We have been invited to a wedding in a couple of months time. The couple have lived together for probably 3 or 4 years and have asked for money as a present as they have most household things - they want to put it towards landscaping their garden. Seems a great idea to me ...

Re: Which private health provider do you choose?

We use WPA and have found them to be very good at paying for things as and when we have claimed. We are a family of 4 although with teenage children. We pay around £500 per month for the family although this has jumped up a lot over the last couple of years.

Best roads for trick or treating?

We have some family friends coming to stay over halloween and they're keen to go trick or treating. Mine have always gone to a family halloween party so I'm not sure which roads/ areas are the best ones to point them to? Would anyone be able to suggest some?

Re: Fox in through bedroom window last night

That is terrifying. Good to know that you are all ok. We had our bedroom windows all wide open last night but how else are we supposed to sleep? I find foxes scary even on the streets let alone in my house.

Re: Sharing childcare with a friend but she is just putting them in front of TV all day

Playdates do vary in my experience but if it is going to be a 3 week long swap and you have agreed it on a childcare basis then I would probably be tempted to say something but maybe say it indirectly. They had loads of energy yesterday you might need to take them to the park to let off some steam o...

Re: Looking for Emanuel School Tutors

Seriously, of the summers to give your child a break this would be the one. They have just had the trauma of 11+ This is the summer to let them chill out and enjoy the downtime. Maybe seek out some other new students and organise a playdate but nothing more. IMHO obviously!
