Re: Private School scholarships

It is definitely possible if you do your research and work hard at it- like anything. I have two children both at private boarding preps with bursaries. One child is academically gifted, one is average in most subjects but has other attributes. In the older ones case we applied for a specific schola...

Re: Abbeville Road Baby and Children's clothes shop

45K for a crappy off licence in Balham says it all really. It's greedy landlords and letting agents who push the prices up in areas, thus eventually homogenising them because only national chains can afford the rents. And thus removing the charm that attracts young families etc to the area in the fi...

Re: Abbeville Road Baby and Children's clothes shop

DON’T DO IT!!! As someone who owns several small businesses, I urge extreme caution. Piccolo has just closed down on Abbeville- too expensive, niche and never made any money since opening. There are often sports fixtures during the week too if you are able to attend. Most weekends we see him,...

Re: Do you read partners email/FB etc?

I don't read my partner's email or texts- unless something pops up on the screen because he is logged in. I don't feel the need to do so- I trust him. He on the other hand is the biggest snooper around. When we first got together he admitted reading every diary and love letter in a big box under my ...

Re: Teddies nursery - any good?

In a word, no. The babycare room is good but the Little Learners room not so much.
High staff turnover and we got the feeling that most staff didn't really care.
We took our child away in the end.
