Re: Are rats a problem around Northcote road area?

I live near Abbeville Road. We have had intermittent rats for 5 years. Suspect a pipe access but will have to rip up floor to access the [unhelpfully buikt over] manhole and a downstairs cloakroom floor where they also seem to be coming ftom. Can anyone who usedthe above companies (Dyno, Enviro, Dra...

Re: How much do you pay your Nanny?

It is illegal to employ without paying employers' NI and deducting employee tax and NI at source. It's easy to do..and you don't need NannyTax (though if they charge very little, it might be worthwhile....) HMRC has a free software package and offers a freee 3 hour course on how to use it ---- well ...

Re: Man Photographing Children at Clapham Common Bandstand

The man was standing behind a tree so that most parents --- sipping coffee at the cafe --- could not see him. Re: French nurseries and primary schools in Clapham/Battersea??

I highly, highly recommend Cadet Rousselle Ecole in Herne Hill (3 mornings/week @£18 per session). Teacher was 10 years at l'Ecole des Petits. Unless you have a French passport, you can forget getting into the lycee. Try l'Ecole de Battersea -- sweet school. But after siblings, it's first come, fir...

Re: 3 1/2 year old pooing in pants

You could have been me writing. We had this problem from Jan to Aug this year. We'd get a few accidents then nothing and we thought we were safe...then it would happen again. Both GP and paeds wondered about constipation and lactulose was prescribed. Excellent results then not so good (in retrospect...

Man Photographing Children at Clapham Common Bandstand

A man was photographing children on 22nd Sept after school. He was alone (ie he wasn't photographing his kids.) Police were called and reviewed his photos (all kids) but he was unknown to police. Please be vigilant --- if you see someone showing an undue interest in children (through photography or ...

Re: anglo spanish nursery

I can't recommend this nursery highly enough. My daughtIer has been there for 18 months since just before she turned 1. Staff are truly caring and love children -- the key ingredient. My daughter now sings Spanish songs and plays make believe with her dolls using Spanish phrases. most of the childre...
