Re: high fever for 6 days - when to worry?

I agree with the advice of going back to the doctor. 6 days is quite a long time. I would ask them to check a urine sample. My daughter had a high fever when she was 5 months old and the doctor told me to go away for a few days as it was probably just a virus. Turned out that it was a urinary tract ...

Re: Campaign to open another bilingual stream at Wix

I believe that previously you had to go around the common via lit roads. However, apparently that is changing this year and now distances will be measured as the crow flies. I did receive a response from Jonathan Cook as well. He said the school and council are well aware of the demand for another b...

Re: iui clinics

I would highly recommend the CRGH. I had successful iui treatment there and now have a little girl who is nearly two. They were ranked the top clinic in the country last year and fairly recently produced the first ever baby born free of the breast cancer gene. I would definitely use them again.

Re: Campaign to open another bilingual stream at Wix

St Ockwell - do you mind me asking how far away from the school you live? I thought the catchment area for the classic stream was quite big. Scotland - thank you very much for taking the time to respond. It is very much appreciated and encouraging to hear that senior management are working to resolv...

Re: Campaign to open another bilingual stream at Wix

Thank you very much for your post and explaining the current situation. Firstly if Wix did have the capacity and funding to create the extra bilingual stream I think personally I would rather take that option and worry about secondary education later. AFter all, if a new bilingual stream started in ...

Re: Campaign to open another bilingual stream at Wix

Hi I would also be happy to send a letter to the council as we live approx 200m from the school, so would have been fine in previous years but not this year. Did anyone manage to find out who we should write to? I've looked on the Wandsworth Council website but can't seem to find the appropriate per...

Re: So Sad...Crumpet is now Phase Eight

I totally agree. Definitely a shame it will be a Phase Eight, but Crumpet was awful. The toilets were always disgusting and the place was dirty. I hated having to meet people in there. I would highly recommend Wonderworld of Wishes though. Its not huge, but its clean, the staff are lovely, there is ...

Local electrician and gardener

Hi I am looking for a local reasonably priced electrician. Does anyone know of one please? I am also looking for someone to get rid of the decking in our garden and level it slightly and then pave it. Landscape gardening companies are quoting a fortune. Does anyone know of a local handyman/gardener ...

Re: Drop off playgroup

I would definitely be interested too. I think you are going to have a large waiting list if it is only 12 children at a time! Do you think it would be better to make sure people book in advance because there could be a lot of disappointed people if if it is turn up and first come first served? Also,...

Re: Relocation to Singapore - Advice??

Thanks Jetsettingbaby. Its great to hear positive stories like that. I am slightly apprehensive but definitely more excited! I did a lot of travelling before I settled down so am excited that it hasn't come to an end just because I've had a baby!
Thanks for taking the time to write.

Relocation to Singapore - Advice??

HI, We are potentially relocating to Singapore in early 2012. I don't know Singapore very well at all and just wondered if any of you had experience of living there, particularly with a toddler. I am going out there in a few weeks time just for a week to look around, figure out where to live etc. If...
