Re: Elective c-section - 2nd pregnancy

Hi, thought I would share my story...as another view. My first was an average length 1cm an hour ish with an epidural but once i was fully dilated the baby's heart beat slowed down so after abit of pushing, failed forceps and ventouse, I ended up with an emergency c-section. For my second I really w...

Re: Lady Eleanor Holles School

It's been a long time for me too, buses went from wide area as far as Sunningdale/Eton to the South and towards Roehampton/Richmond but in my day no one came from as far in as Chelsea. I imagine the traffic to Hampton in the rush hour would mean that it is a very long journey. I do remember some fri...

Re: Mmr booster

Both mine had this at 18-20 months following the first one. Neither had any reaction, I was told the reaction should be less than the reaction (if there was one) to the first MMR. My son is now due his next booster at 3 years 4 months (called the pre-school booster).

Re: Portable potty: recommendations?

Hi, we used the potette with my son who is now 3 years. It didn't look very comfortable but he didn't seem to mind and used it loads in the first few months of toilet training. But now he is able to hold on/wait. I still keep it in the buggy (it folds up very small) just in case. When it is my daugh...

Re: Movin Sit Cushion

Was it a recommendation from an OT?
If so would they be able to help you, they could probably provide these resources for a school and might be able to provide one for you or advise you on where to get one. :)

Re: curtain maker

For fabrics try 'Fabrics galore' on Wandsworth Road just before Queenstown Road. A great range of fabrics lots for £10-15 a metre. Black out material about £7 a metre. Terry's fabrics online are good too but I like to actually feel the material so I use Fabrics Galore. I just bought some lovely mate...

Re: How many naps should a 18 month old have?

I think all children are different and some need more sleep than others. I have a 2 and a half year old and a 15 month old they both sleep from 12.30-2.30/3pm, I usually have to wake them. They go to a nursery 3 days a week and only usually sleep for 1 to 1 and a half hours there so tend to need mor...

Venue for a 40th birthday brunch?

I am helping a friend with her 40th birthday bash.

She would like to have a brunch in a restaurant in central London for between 20 - 30 people in a private room.

Any ideas on a venue that could do this?

Many thanks

Re: Down syndrome ?

Down syndrome can be diagnosed with a blood test but as balham mummy5 said usually it is diagnosed at birth or in the new few days. I have heard of families where the diagnosis took weeks but I think it is rare for a child not to be diagnosed at 1 year, although not impossible, if a child has missed...
