Early days re the girls yet but I think both this year are off to girls only boarding schools. You are right that the mixed boarding schools typically start at 13 and as such the girls would need to go to say Broomwood for the last 2 years. I have a son at Eaton House and know lots of parents of boys and girls at Northcote/Broomwood. Obviously main differences are Broomwood co-ed until 8 when boys go on to Northcote Lodge, girls stay until 13. Eaton House boys prepares boys for 13 plus not 11plus . Eaton House girls goes up to 11. Many if not all boys leave Finton at 7/8 mainly for Dulwich preps and Northcote Lodge whereas the girls stay on and take the 11 plus. The list of possibilities will depend upon whereabouts you live - no parent wants to drive miles for the school run, i find the Wandsworth one way system is often a natural barrier. I think the original poster should apologise to the school , a case of not checking ones facts before publically slandering a school which understandably is concerned with the safety of its pupils.

Plumber, underfloor heating and tiler

Hi

I need someone who is a plumber, can sort out under floor heating and tile - not a huge job but does require someone competent at all three - any recommendations welcome !

I wish you well but the school is not exactly flush with space - there are already 2 schools operating on one site at Wix so I am not sure where it is going to go ; the current bilingual class is part financed by the French Government as per the agreement in 2005 so I think finances may be a problem...
