Unfortunately financial impact often leads directly to lives too and if we don’t restart society as best we can many more lives will be lost as a result of that than the virus itself. I think the important thing is parents and staff have the choice and everyone can make their own risk assessment.

Yes pretty sure there are no laws re where you can move when there’s shared parenting especially when you are the main caregiver

Do think you need to bear in mind that some people simply can’t afford to pay their cleaners anymore. Our income has halved in a matter of weeks and actually I quite enjoyed doing our cleaning while listening to a podcast last night so might have to accept a cleaner is a luxury we can no long afford...

Yes but I suspect you might be underestimating the number of parents that have had income drops. Anyway, it would appear the schools agree anyway as they are now all passing on discounts as yes their costs have been reduced from normal....

It sounds like there are lots of solutions which is great but just so you know our au pairs eat with the children and then very much keep to themselves in the evenings so very similar to what you are describing. They do pick up the kids after school and cook their tea though!
