Where can I get a large, finished traditional dollshouse?

Does anyone know where I could get an assembled, painted/wallpapered and generally 'finished' traditional dollshouse? I'm after a 'proper' dollshouse, like the large Georgian ones people make from kits, but can only find either kits or depressingly pink, chunkier offerings from John Lewis etc. It's ...

Lost blue dinosaur coat CJ/Northcote

Bit of a long shot, but has anyone picked up or handed in a blue Joules child's coat with dinosaurs on it? We lost it somewhere between Clapham Junction Waterstones and Northcote Rd Byron Burger today, Saturday 21st, (had also visited Specsavers). My daughter loves it and is v upset! Think it has he...

Re: Breast lump

The London Breast Institute at the Princess Grace Hospital has a same-day service. They are extremely good. Impossible not to worry, I know, but remember that 9/10 lumps are benign.

Re: Children's Audio CD Suggestions for Car Journeys Please!

The Red House Books website has some good, heavily discounted collections of kids' CDs, including Julia Donaldson and various children's classics. We also like 'Stories for 5 Year Olds' (& 6 Year Olds), available on amazon.

Re: Health Screening Recommendations

Depends what you're after. Medichecks do a v comprehensive, low-cost full blood screen (order online, take sample yourself via finger-prick or go in for bloods). Your GP should have offered you an NHS 40+ health check (cholesterol, blood pressure etc.) - everyone is eligible for one. There's a good ...

Re: Hate Brexit? Come to the People's march for Europe today and help stop it!

I saw your post too late, unfortunately, but share your views wholeheartedly! Brexit is uniquely disastrous for the UK, not to mention profoundly misguided and misinformed. Please keep posting with any info about ways in which we can do anything to attempt to protest or prevent this appalling slow-m...

Re: Breastfeeding help - first time mum in Wimbledon

The Clapham La Leche League group are brilliant - supportive, kind and helpful (and free!). Run by accredited lactation experts they can offer individual advice or you can attend the weekly group drop-in. Google them or PM me for more info. They have a Facebook page too.

Re: Inaccessible leaking pipe under tiled concrete floor - help!

Thanks everyone. We used Polygon, who were very good, and have identified where the leak is, but now need someone to dig up the floor and remove the sink in order to access it. I presume a general builder will be the person to go to, so if anyone has a local recommendation, I'd be grateful to hear it!

Inaccessible leaking pipe under tiled concrete floor - help!

A hissing sound like a running tap has revealed a leak somewhere under our tiled kitchen floor or possibly tiled hallway/downstairs toilet. There is no visible evidence of a leak, just the noise, which the plumber says shows there is a leak in one of the pipes connected to the mains (noise stops whe...

Re: Therapeutic & restorative Gong Baths in Balham: FREE TRIAL SESSION

I went to Cathy's session last week (having never been to a gong bath before) and just wanted to feed back on what a fantastic experience it was. Super relaxing, even for a stressed type like myself, and a rather beautiful and intense soundscape. Cathy is very friendly and lovely - would totally rec...

Re: Mousehouse : child left behind in playground !!

Could happen to any local school? I doubt it. Performing a head count before returning to school/nursery is one of the most basic requirements for staff in charge of a trip. I am sure staff are mortified and that this is not necessarily representative of the nursery in question, but leaving such a y...

Re: Terre Blanche Hotel resort, Côte d'Azur

We have visited Terre Blanche for a drink/food/pool over the years as we have a family home in the area. It's very nice (though a touch better when it was a Four Seasons) and would undoubtedly make for a lovely holiday, though it does slightly have the feel of being in its own compound. This need no...
