Thanks a lot. I had downloaded and read an earlier version of this document when my daughter was only 3 months old but was only planning on reading it thoroughly again next winter before applying. Thanks for making it easier for me :-)

Re: NCT Group but don't want to breastfeed

Tell her not to worry at all. Our ante-natal classes didn't have any "breastfeeding" propaganda and were very open. There was a free breastfeeding workshop included as well but certainly not mandatory. And even that class was quite relax about it and insisted that it was not easy and that i...

Re: someone to read/talk in French to my child

It's a good idea. I'm actually French but can't help. I'll ask another of my French friends if she would be interested in helping you. In the meantime, , you might be interested in this French playgroup. It's called "Copains, Copines" and it's on Wednesdays from 10;45 to 11;30 at Altenbbur...

Re: 40th b'day looming! Any child-friendly accom in Paris/Rome??

I like this hotel http://www.arvor-hotel-paris.com/en/bienvenue.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it's very simple but has some rooms with a separate area where your child could sleep. It might be that they have rooms where two children can sleep as well. They don't have ...

Re: Btwn the Commons & not accepted to Honeywell or Belleville??

Re: Chatto being the closest for Honeywell, that is scary! So basically unless you bought the house opposite Honeywell you have no chance of getting in :-) I'm being ironic but this is quite amazing that you can't get in such a close school. I live on Roseneath Road so according to the posts here, w...

Re: Btwn the Commons & not accepted to Honeywell or Belleville??

How is the catchment area calculated ? According to another thread on this forum and the school itself (which I called), the catchment for Honeywell was 433 m last year. But how do they calculate that? Is it from point to point (ie straight line "in the sky") or by going road by road and t...
