Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

The small Boots in Clapham Jct station has closed, as has the Carphone Warehouse just outside, anyone know what's coming? No surprise about the Boots, it was next to a far larger Superdrug and there are 2 more within 5 minutes' walk.

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

...I'd love a fast and furious Thai or Malaysian place - in and out in 30 minutes, laksa or phad thai cooked in a few minutes in front of you with the freshest ingredients, but I doubt it could survive in Northcote Road because there are no office workers to sustain it during the week and young chi...

Re: Sharing toiletries!

Yes, I would expect the host family to supply essential toiletries such as shower gel, toothpaste and shampoo, the same way I would expect them to supply towels and toilet paper!

Re: Husbands affair

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I don't think a book will help you as much as the opportunity to talk out your feelings. The Wandsworth Association of Psychotherapists do low-cost counselling and I have benefitted from seeing one of their therapists in the past, worth a try: http://www.wands...

Re: Taking antidepressants to the Middle East

Some prescription medication, and some over the counter medicines (like codeine), are banned in some countries, yes. Check the specifics with the FCO and the embassy of the country you're visiting. You may need to bring a GP's prescription proving you have been prescribed the drugs. And don't take m...

I was going to say Kopapa, but it has closed.

Re: Desperately seeking good yoga that is NOT HOT!

Yogahaven at Clapham Common does great classes! They have a hot room, but a non-heated room too and a range of styles. http://www.yogahaven.co.uk/london-yoga/clapham/yoga-classes They have an August sale on class passes which ends today. By the way, everyone finds their first hot class tough. I felt...

Re: Husband getting tattoo

I think the fact that he is lying about his whereabouts is far more of a problem than the tattoo. Claiming to be in a different country is really quite extreme. I understand you don't approve of the tattoo idea, I don't like them much either, but you can't really claim it will affect the children. H...
