Re: Not happy families at the Bolingbroke on Northcote

OK - just for clarification reggieb- I didn't expect any exception to be made for my booking. UK law/legalities aside, I totally understand the desire for some restaurants (and their customers) to not have children running around in the evenings (or other times). My gripe is that I wouldn't have boo...

That was their policy and that it was 'somewhere on their website'. 'We are not a restaurant, we're a gastr...

Re: Someone knows this lady?

Hi Ranci
I don't know this person but I think you should report what you saw and found to the police in case she was mugged and/or has made a report to the police of a theft.

Re: Nightingale Lane Safety/Audley Retirement Village Petition!

I'd also like to know how long is this going to go on for? How long will the portacabins be there and when will the G1 bus stop be reinstated to it's original position? There are many elderly residents who use the GI bus and now there is nowhere for them to sit whilst waiting for the bus. Should/cou...

Re: Save Balham Bowling Green: Planning Objection

What a coincidence to come across this article a few days ago https://www.standard.co.uk/comment/comment/for-our-own-good-we-must-revive-the-drive-for-new-green-spaces-a3835496.html Objections to the development of our 'unused' green spaces shouldn't solely be confined (and I do think they are justi...

New wine shop open on Nightingale Lane

Popped in today to say good luck - he's at number 85 Nightingale Lane - I have to say it's so nice to have a new independent wine seller in the neighborhood! Something that people (especially me) will use on a regular basis and not another estate agent. He's just getting stock in but what I saw look...
