Re: One, Two and Three Form

Hello! Yes, 'forms' are the equivalent of 'classes', if you will. So in the state system in the UK, each class would generally contain around 30 children in reception (the first year of formal schooling, which a child enters in the academic year in which they turn 5). If you are in Wandsworth, there...

Re: Children's birthday cakes - Any recommendations near Battersea?

Nicky Kirk-Martin is a fabulous baker; and I'm certain I've had egg free cupcakes from her before (child with egg allergy!)

SW11 Mum, so super local https://www.fromnickyskitchen.co.uk/

Re: Educational psychologist advice

A friend used Katarina Beer-Riley, and was very happy with the support - http://www.psychologyunlimited.co.uk/ Worth a call as I think she does a free initial telephone consultation.

(Full disclosure - Katarina is a friend of mine).

Re: Swaffield or Allfarthing?

What a wonderful position to be in! I cannot speak directly to the Swaffield vs Allfarthing question, as I don't have any personal experience of the latter, but... Swaffield was our first choice school for our child, who is now in year 2. They are thriving; and we are delighted with the friendly, di...

Re: Weekly flower deliveries by mail. Any recommendations?

Not an exact answer, but I've used Bloom & Wild many times for one-off gifts, and the recipients have always been delighted. I know that they do subscription offers, too.

Re: School Nursery with January Intake

Worth calling High View to ask if they have any places: my eldest child had a full-time place in the nursery there and loved it. The teaching and the space are both fantastic.

Re: Toddler with allergies - advice please.

I would probably take my own... I have a toddler with an egg allergy, but we've been harping on about this for so long that they seem to understand (even if now at 2.5 years) we get a few tears about it. Nicky Kirk-Martin has done some egg-free cakes for me before. I would recommend. Worth asking if...

Re: Missing Chocolate Burmese Cat

Someone posted this photo this morning on SW18 Mums' buying/selling/giving (a group on facebook), with the message "Does anyone own this cat? It seems lost, lots of meowing and has been trying to get into our house". All I know is that they're in Wandsworth, they didn't state the road - I ...

Re: dinner for 8 Earlsfield

You're spoilt for choice in Earlsfield! What sort of cuisine? What sort of vibe?

Roxie's Steakhouse is fabulous. Il Girasole for fab Italian. The Jolly Gardener's for gastropub fare. The Thai Grocer for fantastic Thai (but quite informal setting)...

I'm sure I can come up with more!
