Overcrowding – hazards from dogs, joggers and cyclists on Wandsworth Common

Postby anniemay1992 » Mon Mar 24, 2025 10:52 am

Hey everyone,

I am writing an article about overcrowding and potential hazards on Wandsworth Common.

Since COVID-19, I've witnessed a rise in activity on the common from more dogs due to rising dog ownership over lockdown as well as more people getting into fitness via jogging and cycling. I have personally witnessed issues (dogs running into people and knocking them over, confrontations between lively dogs and young children, cyclists nearly colliding with people, etc).

I want to speak to ANYONE who has witnessed any similar hazard issues on the common and what they think the authorities could be doing better to make the common a safer and more inclusive place for all. Whether you're a concerned mum, dog owner, cyclist/jogger or simply a stroller, I want to hear from you!

Please drop me a response.

Thanks!

Annie
