Wandsworth Council is adding 14 new social flats to Tyneham Close estate near Lavender Hill. The innovative design will transform two underused spaces into five-storey buildings while extending existing kitchens and adding balconies to neighbouring flats. The project also includes improvements to communal gardens with new seating and play areas, better rubbish collection facilities, and secure cycle storage. This is part of the 'Homes for Wandsworth' initiative aiming to deliver 1000 council-rent homes.
