Private paediatrician - home visits?

Postby oab » Mon Nov 03, 2014 10:55 am

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a private paediatrician who also does home visits in SW11?
Or if not, a paediatrician based in SW11/SW18?

I know of good paediatricians in Kensington or at the Portland, but both are quite far for us.

Thank you very much!

Hi

Sorry I don't have any recommendations since I just moved here myself and am looking exactly for this but could you please tell me who your pediatricians are in Kensington and Portland... I need a good pediatrician for my kids and don't mind the drive at the moment... I hope to find someone near by since this is nappyvalley but until then I need to get my kids in for a flu shot etc....

thanks a million

We use the Portland's Children's Doc Around the Clock service for home visits and have been extremely happy with it. They usually show up within an hour or two and their receptionist is helpful in identifying whether it is something they can take care of or needs A&E. We've been very happy with the doctors themselves - I think we've used it four times (all very late night and so not necessarily the Portland's own doctors) and all docs have been lovely with our daughter, spot on with advice and extremely professional. Tel is 0207 390 8022.

Elia Maalouf and his colleague Dr Murray at the Portland are very good FYI.

I have signed up with Doctorcareanywhere. They are just superb. No need to leave the house, they do a video conference with you and your little one and! they get medication delivered to your door within 2 hours.

ARR -
The paediatricians I have been recommended are: Dr Sophie Batut at medicare in Kensington; Dr Murray or Dr Maalouf at the Portland.
We have seen Dr Murray when my son had a urinary infection and he was great.
I have friends who use Dr Batut, not only when their child is ill but also for general check-ups - and they are very very happy with her.

The team at my healthcare clinic are definitely worth looking at. While I haven't seen the consultant paediatrician Ed Abrahamson, I know he is highly regarded. I have been very pleased with the medical professionals there I have seen (GP, nurse, health visitor and one of their consultants) and the location is very convenient with easy parking.

I can indeed recommend Dr Batut at the French medicare. She has been our paedetrician since our daughter was born and we go see her now once a year for a checkup. We do use the Thurleigh road practice for regular/not complicated diseases and they are great.

Dr Batut doesn't do home visits but she gives you her cell phone number when you first go see her and if you are concerned, (especially with little ones) and is very responsive.

Highly recommended.
