Trinity Fields Fireworks Post Reply

Hello, there is usually a wonderful firework display on Trinity Fields this time of year (put together by local schools I think?) and I believe this year it's on Friday 7/11. I wonder if anyone knows what time it starts?

We have a great view of it from our garden so have invited a couple of friends round to watch, but I want to make sure they don't get here too late and miss it!

I think it is a ticket only event. It is run by a consortium of schools (Thomas's, Finton, Broomwood and perhaps Hornsby House).
If you know any parents at these schools probably best to ask them if they are able to get tickets on your behalf if you are interested in going.

I am a Hornsby parent and there weren't enough tickets to satisfy demand earlier this week (they have sorted it now) so I think the chances of there being any spare tickets are very slim.

I just comment that when there was discussion of a drilling shaft for Crossrail 2 being located on Trinity Fields there was much talk about how Trinity Fields is a community resource, etc.

Some people commented that the Trinity Fields Trust (a private body which took over the site which was previously managed by Wandsworth Council) run the site for independent schools rather than for the local community.

This fireworks event confirms this.

Loads of community groups use Trinity Fields. Its definitely not run exclusively for private schools. However, the private schools contribute heavily to its upkeep.

According to my friend who has a ticket times are listed as gates at 6, bonfire at 7, fireworks 7:15 event over by 8:15.

agree 99%. there are cricket facilities and clubs which can be joined just like any other club, But the encroachment of independent schools on our commons and parks does need to be kept in check..
