Paralympian Oliver Lam-Watson inspires resilience at alma mater Dulwich College visit
It was an absolute privilege to welcome back Oliver Lam-Watson, former pupil at Dulwich
College from 2006 to 2011, to speak with our Year 9 and 10 pupils.
With great honesty, Oliver shared the challenges he faced as a young man living with a disability, and the remarkable journey that led him to become an elite athlete. His accomplishments include winning European and Commonwealth Gold medals in fencing, as well as earning a Silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympic Games and a Bronze at the recent Paris Games.
Oliver’s message was simple yet powerful: believe in yourself, stay resilient, and never
stop aiming for greatness. He emphasized the importance of dreaming big and pushing
through adversity. His story undoubtedly left a lasting impression, inspiring our pupils to
embrace their own potential and overcome any challenges they may face.
