I don't think it's inflammatory at all. This bill is highly controversial with many educators and child experts openly speaking up against it. Many MPs are also fitting it in the parliament. As I don't home school etc, it won't affect me personally but I recognise how damaging it will be not just for children who are not "standard" and may require different approach, it will also be damaging for entire families and schools too. I've been watching the debates and I do believe that it's more about state control than child safety and wellbeing. I think it will be tragic for some children with special needs or anxiety issues. This bill is scary.
I haven't been actively opposing it as I'm not affected personally but know some people who have been. So I think this post has the right of place here. It's an opinion many share.
