Builder Recommendation for Clapham Post Reply

Hello
We are looking to do a house renovation in Clapham Old Town and would love to have recommendations for builders. I've been searching through old NVN posts looking for good reviews but wanted to see if there is anyone able to give any recent recommendations. No basement/digging required but it's a heavy duty renovation (electrical, roofing, new windows, kitchen, bathrooms).

Hi,

I have a wide terraced house in Balham in which I want to extend the Family Room/Kitchen by an extra 9m x 3m. In addition to the build there will need to be a refitted kitchen, a new boiler and the usual upgrade of electrics etc., to this room only. I need ideas and drawings and someone to do the planning for me and possibly project manage. Has anyone a builder who they felt really did a great job and who didn’t let them down? Has anyone managed to do this work for under £85k? Would be grateful for all advice. Thank you.

Don't whatever you do use GO Building in Richmond, which is run by Gus Grewal (although he hides behind someone called Jaroslaw Zbikowski)  They are crooks and have ripped of many people over the years. Steer clear.

If we're recommending who not to use definitely don't go near Obree.  They did some property maintenance for me (painting and plumbing).  An absolute disaster, they charge a fortune but do the job as cheaply as they can and they try to charge you for work that they do not do.  I cannot recommend them at all.
