Is Pho any good? Haven't tried Cornish Tiger, can't quite get my head round the menu which might reflect a lot of peoples' thoughts.

And Breakfast Club? Well good for them (no snark) but there are two things I'd never queue for, breakfast and pizza.

I'm not convinced by the menu at Cornish Tiger either. It justs needs a little tweaking - the fusion element really doesn't work. Also 'chunky chips' should not be on the menu at any London restaurant - is it the 80s!? I'm hoping the owners are reading this as I'd like it to survive.

Pho isn't bad at all.

We took the kids to Strada all the time and were so sad to see it boarded up the other day. I was walking past and asked one of the builders who said it was still going to be a Strada but it was taking a bar format. No more pizzas as he said they'd ripped out the pizza oven and most of the kitchen.
Such a pity. Another local told me that that site was the first ever Strada. (Have no idea if that's true)

It's going to be a Brew Dog bar. Local beers, micro-brews and Brewdog's own.
The OH practically wept with joy :D

Oh and I've also just been informed that the food there is awesome.

Interesting! The Brewdog 'coming soon' page has a photo of the Strada as their new location -http://www.brewdog.com/bars/coming-soon

I was in the Strada on Clapham High St about a month back and that one's closing (or maybe already closed) too - it's becoming.....wait for it...yet another Pizza Express!

Strada is closing lots of its outlets as it under serious financial pressure. So expect more to go. Sad.

We went to Strada a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible, not like the usual service/food at all. No surprise to hear it has closed, they must have known when we went and couldn't be bothered. I can't keep up with all the restaurants changing! I still miss Giraffe, but I hope Soif survives, that place is great.

What is with the queuing for the Breakfast club? Has anyone been?

I went to Breakfast Club at Christmas with some girlfriends for brunch - kid free - and I loved it!

The service is very friendly and very relaxed, I can totally understand why people would queue. I was pregnant at the time and the guy on the door offered me a seat, then gave me a free coffee when we got inside by way of apology for having to queue. And I have to say, for breakfast, it was pretty good - but definitely hangover food - don't go there if you like Wolseley style breakfasts! The Bloody Marys are bloody good too! We ended up staying over 5 hours and were never once hassled to hurry up or order more.

Not sure I would want to go with the kids, although I did see a few in there, it definitely caters for dinkys if you ask me... I will admit to feeling a teeny bit old ;)

The guys behind Cote also launched Strada and subsequently sold the Cote franchise to a private equity firm last year. Strada is owned by the cafe rouge group which also runs Bella Italia that is providing to be more popular than Strada and actually expanding. Too bad as we really like Strada as a family destination that was a bit more grown up than Pizza Express! (although I think Cote is also a family friendly dining experience as well).

Cote in my experience is super kids friendly. My kids love it there and so are we. Their steak tartare is v good and their menu is very varied. So glad it is coming. Very sad to hear about Strada, we too loved it.
Cant say i will miss Cattle Grid ;)

Does anyone know what is going in at the other end of Battersea Rise - in what used to be Adventure Bar and the restaurant next door? Next to the Dip & Flip burger place.
