3D/4D Scan recommendation

Postby Earlsfieldgirl » Wed Oct 05, 2011 9:49 pm

Hi,

I would really like to have a 3D or 4D scan done - can anybody recommend a good place to go?

Also, do you know when the best time to have it done is?

Any advice welcome

Thanks!

Hi sorry to bother but can you tell me what's a 4D scan? I mean I understand 3D, but no idea what the 4th dimension would be in that instance?

I am sure you can find some 3D scans on Harley st. Sorry cant be more helpful though.

Good luck x

I used the Fetal Medicine Centre on Harley Street - it's about £150/scan. The recommended times for me were 20wks and some time in the window 34-36wks.

Hi there,

The best place by far is the Fetal Medicine Centre on Harley St. Not only are they very good (they always picked up things that the NHS never managed to find) but also offer 3D scans and will give you a DVD at the end of the scan (please make sure you ask for one beforehand, it is at no extra cost).
Enjoy !

Another vote for the fetal medicine centre - they are very thorough. If you want to see Professor Nicolaides, you have to wait ages but if you have no complications, I wouldn't suggest waiting around. It is only obstetricians scanning so whoever you get is very experienced. We took our video camera in and videoed the scans! 20 weeks and 32 weeks.

I saw an ad for this place at the Clapham Junction Health Centre:
