Postby PenelopeP » Mon Jun 17, 2013 3:02 pm

Happy, busy and welcoming family based on Wandsworth looking for a LIVE-IN AU PAIR PLUS to join our family starting in September (or before for the right person).

We have three children a boy of 5yrs, and two girls of 13yrs and 16yrs. We also have two lovely dogs and a cat. The children are all at school every day returning from 5pm. Both my husband and I work full time so your working hours would need to be somewhat flexible, especially if we are travelling.

We are looking for someone who is independent, mature, confident and proactive and can be completely responsible for the house, our children in our absence. A good level of written and spoken english is very important too.

You would have your own room, shared use of a bathroom, wifi and a tv.

We live 1 10 minute walk from Earlsfield over-ground station and a short bus ride from Clapham Junction.

We are looking for a 12 month contract – with a 3 month trial period which would apply both to us and to you. You would have 4 weeks paid hliday each year - to coincide with our family holidays.

Working hours would be around 30-35 hours per week and we would ask that you are flexible around your working hours (which will in general be from 1 or 2pm onwards - with a few mornings). In addition we may ask for up to 2 nights babysitting a week.

During School holidays, more help will be required during the week with activities for our little boy, trips to the park, clubs museums and getting involved in sporting activities/playing games. We will pay you extra for this.

Please only apply if you:
- Have childcare experience, a previous nanny role is not necessary but your ability to take on sole charge occasionally is important.
- Have very good English
- Have good basic cooking skills
- Are happy to be flexible re hours
- Are a non-smoker
- Have good references and are available for interview (although skype would be ok if not).
- It would be preferably is you were already located in the UK (ideally London) and available for face-to-face interviews.
- Are pet friendly (we have a very friendly dog).
- We would prefer someone with a drivers licence (although this is not essential).

Duties will include:
- Taking care of laundry and ironing for the family
- Keeping the house tidy
- Changing the bedding and towels
- Some shopping / errands –(eg post office / dry cleaning)
- Tidying the kitchen after breakfast / emptying dishwasher etc
- Walking the dogs
- Picking our little boy up from the school bus, helping him with his homework
- Being there to talk to our elder girls and share the highlights and troubles of the day with them
- Arranging for the children’s evening meal
- Bathing our little boy and helping hi get ready for bed
- Helping with household admin (school forms / arranging the household diary with the girls)
- light house work (we have a cleaner once a week – but the kitchen floor needs sweeping / cleaning every day)

Please forward your full CV and references if you are interested.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Salary: Dependent on experience, we will be offering the successful candidate between £100-£120 pw with food and accommodation included.

If you are interested please send through your CV and checkable references ASAP.
