Sleep deprived!

Postby jsanfilippo » Mon Jun 03, 2013 9:23 am

HELP! Our 26 month old will not sleep. She's never been a good sleeper and I can't take it anymore. It's really taking a till on my husband and me, physically and mentally. We've tried everything - crying it out, controlled crying, soft music, night light, consistent routines, warm bed...we need help. If anyone knows a sleep therapist that doesn't cost a fortune for a home visit please message me.

Hang in there. I appreciate that these are the tough times but they can be sorted with a little help.

Kathryn Mewes has had many a lovely write up on NappyValleyNet.
Give her a call and see if she can help. http://www.bespokenanny.com/

Good luck and do reach out to your fellow NappyValleyNet mums

Hello!
I can help you with advice and support on-line over the phone or in person. I help parents devise a method they feel confident about using and provide ongoing support for trouble shooting and a consistent approach. You can see the services and packages I offer here http://www.theparentconsultancy.com/services I am based in East Sussex but travel all over the South East. Initially I offer parents a half hour Skype or phone call; we can discuss methods and techniques and then if necessary arrange some follow on support. Please do get in touch if you would like some help.

Hi - I just wanted to update on this...After my post I decided to work with a sleep therapist who reached out to me through nappyvalleynet.com. Her name is Kate with The Parent Consultancy http://www.theparentconsultancy.com/services .
We initially spoke on the phone to discuss the situation and she developed a sleep plan to start. When this didn't seem to be working we spoke a few times and decided to try another route. I'm happy to say that after 1 month of persistence and hard work...My little one is sleeping much better. She no longer gets out of bed and is only waking once a night for about 5 mins. This is a massive imnprovement to the 4-5 times a night waking and the 30 min to 3 hours of crying each time.

Kate was so supportive and really there for me and I am very grateful to her for her patience and kind words.
