Delightful, largish private mixed school with 520 pupils and beautiful premises spread around nappy valley. Catchment area for the pre-prep is roughly within one mile of the school and it doesn’t select on academic potential. Strong emphasis on self-discipline and good manners so probably not right for little rebels. In the upper school cups are awarded for friendliness, table manners, cheerfulness, and girls have compulsory Prue Leith cookery lessons in Years 7 and 8. Ages 4-8 lower school (boys/girls) and 8-13 upper school (girls).
