Hi, i would be very grateful for those who signed up/ registered as parents or nannies with nannyclub.net to get in touch please. Here is my story...
i thought i let you know about new company nanny club (
www.nannyclub.net) i signed up for in September believing they are genuine and honest, unfortunately i was wrong and should have known better. If other nannies/ babysitters will know it saves them troubles/ time/ money.
I signed up first as a silver member for £39.95, called one of their numbers to apply for jobs as somehow i could not do it via website. I spoke to Marcela ( she has very heavy european accent) and she informed me i need to be at least gold member to be able to apply ( £84.95) which i did unfortunately, she asked me to email my cv and asked few questions, never asked me to meet her for an interview. I have applied for jobs sending email and never heard from them back reg to my application,i emailed no reply so i called again. Marcela ensured me she will remind her colleague to check. In a meantime i wanted to take advantage of my gold membership and book an event for free ( based in Hammersmith LaLa restaurant) they offer via website, to meet other nannies and possibly get job on the spot, but never got confirmation email, so i left it. I also apply for Happy sleep course for free, unfortunately there was none available only first aid courses. In a meantime, month ago, by 'luck' i had voice message from nannyclub leaving message for Alicia reg CRB check which obviously was not me. In about an hour they called again from private number, i picked up, and man with Nigerian accent spoke to me saying he is from nannyclub and wants to apologize he was calling earlier on asking for Alicia and then he realised he called wrong number. I took the opportunity and asked him few questions.Basically what he ended up saying is they wont refund my money for the membership and i should update my first aid certificate ( mind you mine is form last year) to increase chance to apply for jobs, which is total nonsense i think.
I keep changing every week their website and all events being deleted suddenly, jobs changing,i also found out on wednesday on their website telephone numbers has changed as well, also finally booked Happy sleep course through website for 27th November, however again i recieved no confirmation email and also it doesnt state on the website when the course starts. I called them today , again spoke to Marcela and she said they are club and depends how many girls will sign up for the course then they will set the hours. I told her i need to re-arrange work as 27th is on wednesday and if they got date they should have the hours too right? She became all offensive/ agressive and said she will send confirmation next week and basically refused to answer anything. I asked her when next week and what happens if it gets cancelled etc, she was not interested at all and said basically ' you can call a president if you want' and put the phone down on me. Clearly professionalism doesn't seem to cross her path.
Also i did research a month ago and googled them properly. Found couple of websites where other nannies complained about them (
http://www.reviewcentre.com/Social-Netw ... 17#Reviews ) and also their website is set up in United States, its umbrella company not main company (
www.duedil.com ). I also spoke about it with St. Jame's Nannies director when i did skype interview few weeks back, she said she had french girl/nanny to register with them with similar story and actually gave me contact on Police fraud in Manchaster if i want to pursue further. I haven't done yet, but after my last phone call i am 100% sure this company is not genuine and has 'perfect' website but behind is basically someone's good plan how to take money from nannies and parents also ( one of my nanny friends call them few weeks back, introduce herself as a parent and again spoke to Marcela, who told her they interview all nannies face to face most importantly etc, clearly another false statement).
I just hope other nannies or parents won't fall for this.
