I'm glad! Again, on the upside, it has lasted over a year of toddler abuse, and seems really solid. So worth the investment (time and money!). I've also found the Melissa & Doug food toys work perfectly with it. As if on cue, my 2 yo DD just started "whisking" a pan on it, as if to reassure both of us she loves it. :)

Poor woman just wanted some advice about putting a toy kitchen together, the vast majority provided helpful and reassuring comments. Just the one poster, yet again, using a thread to highlight how much more competent she is than the rest of us at most things 'family'.

Hi

We bought the same kitchen few weeks ago and my husband saying he did it in 20 minutes. He had one screw left which he wasnt sure if it was spare one but kitchen seems to be fine and stands solid in little ones room.

Good luck and if you need help let us know.

Thanks

Wow! That is speedy! Was it the red super chef one? I have to say at least now it's built it does look very good. Thanks for letting me know, and offer of help v kind! I will bear that in mind next time we get something from there (although not sure we can afford to now!)
And also thanks Medway - I agree with your point- at least as you say most people have been constructive and helpful which makes it easier to ignore those who aren't..
Someone else was asking about handymen.
I've used battersea handyman which is 55/hr (please don't do the maths I'm embarrassed enough!!) and the london handy team in the past - I can't remember how much they charge but if I remember rightly I think they may even do half hour slots. If you know someone who uses a local person to do off jobs that might even work out better.
