Kate has been tutoring one of my children for the last couple of years and I honestly can't recommend her enough. Not only is she fun and engaging, she's also very experienced. Kate has taught at some highly regarded schools in London.

She's so patient and caring and is able to get the best out of children as a result. She'll research games that might make learning something new and tricky fun. She's also a good listener who understands that each child is unique.

I am running Creative writing & art classes in the summer holidays for KS1 and Lower KS2 children.

For many children, creative writing is an area of their learning that they really have to work at and at times, whatever the stage of their schooling, can be quite daunting and hard to get to grips with.

Whether it is the creative thought process, organising their ideas or the actual writing itself, there are many things children can get stuck with in creative writing.

I love working 1:1 with children on this but I also think it is really good for them to share their ideas with their peers. I also know that art and drawing can be a good way for children to express their thoughts and get their ideas out.

They will be group classes, helping children with creative writing (story writing, poetry, descriptive work based on pictures) and the children will get to make a piece of art.

It will be approximately an hour of each art and creative writing with a snack in the middle.

2 hour group class (4-6 children)
At my home in Balham

I have a couple of morning slots available from September.

7.45-8.45am

Children often find it easier to concentrate before school. Whether that is practising their reading, spelling or writing or brushing up their maths skills.
