Child friendly cafes?

Postby sparkletiger » Fri Feb 17, 2012 4:55 pm

Where do you like going for lunch with your little ones?

Sad to see crumpet gone as tho it had gotten a bit grubby and was overpriced it was a good place with small children. Where to go now - good food, flexible with food, space, toys and friendly staff. Would love to hear NV mums recommendations. Thanks

I'd recommend Dee Light bakery / cafe on Ritherdon Road. Great cakes, lunch and toys for the kids.

There's a new cafe opened on Lavender Hill called Wonderworld of Wishes which has a play area, kids food and a room downstairs which can be hired out for parties. They had activities this half term - my daughters did cookie baking and a disco. It's run by a lovely local couple and is decorated beautifully.

Bens canteen on st john hill (corner with harbut rd) is quite good for children. Although they dong have a play area, they have black board tables for the children to draw, plenty of spaces for the children to move around, free wi fi, and mist importantly they are very nice and chilled people who likes children. Plus during the week They are not packed so plenty of spaces.

Deli Boutique st john hill too has a great garden in the summer and v good food.

Just other ideas in a different corner of battersea!
