Local Battersea based interior designer, Emma Green Design, was recently unveiled as the designer responsible for designing one entire gallery at the exclusive Saatchi Gallery to create a chill out room for a fundraising event last week.
The theme of the event was steampunk chosen by the Global Fund for Children due to its connectivity to London during the Victorian times, technology and industry and the link to the treatment of children and which still resonates today.
Emma collaborated with various companies and artisans across the UK to interpret the brief and bring this theme to life and her design included a specially designed steampunk unicorn head, birdcage floor lamp, sumptuous velvet fringed seating, a union jack chesterfield sofa, a bicycle wheel musician’s stool and skull floral display.
The event raised a total of £235,600!
