Falcons School for Girls Unveils its Creation Station

Last Updated on : 1st October 2019

Putney-based Falcons School for Girls has unveiled its latest investment – a new state of the art technology suite.

Thanks to the newly opened, and aptly named, ‘Creation Station’, pupils in Years 1 to 6 will now benefit from being able to hone their IT and Music Technology skills, allowing their practical and creative learning to blossom as they access the latest Apple Macs, all equipped with advanced software.

Headmistress at Falcons School for Girls, Sara Williams-Ryan commented: “The pupils have loved experimenting with the new Music Technology software and are extremely excited to try lots of different ICT skills! The ‘Creation Station’ complements the use of iPads and laptops in their other subjects.

“We are keen to ensure that our pupils have access to the very latest technology, to support our belief that children will flourish if we engage and challenge learners at every opportunity”.

The new area will complement well the multiple specialist spaces for the teaching of the more creative and scientific subjects including; a well-equipped Science laboratory, a spacious and inspiring Art room, a Drama studio complete with a plethora of props and staging and a stimulating Music room.

Enjoying a convenient location within the leafy conservation area of Woodborough Road, Putney, with spacious green play areas, specialist facilities and dedicated teachers, Falcons School for Girls will inspire and challenge children to foster a curiosity and interest in the world around them and to develop a love of learning.

Reaching far beyond the national curriculum, Falcons Girls strive to strengthen and enhance the pupils’ learning pathways through carefully planned lessons and activities, supported by a rich co-curricular programme. The school also works closely with parents during the education process and each pupil is prepared for entry into the senior school which best meets their learning needs and future development.
