Finton House Christmas Fair

Finton House Christmas Fair

The school was transformed recently into “Fintonia” – a Christmas village reminiscent of Harry Potter’s “Hogsmeade”.

With the playground under a beautiful stretch tent supplied by InTent, the whole area decorated with thousands of lights, and the school choir singing carols, the scene was set for a magical evening.

The children were able to visit Father Christmas in his grotto, and enjoyed games and activities including mini-Quidditch, as well as shopping from “Honeydukes” sweet shop and “Zonkos” toys. For adults there was mulled wine from the bar, manned by the lovely staff from Jacksons, the event’s sponsors, as well as the delicious Cleavers’ barbecue and a host of stalls for Christmas shopping. The proceeds of the fair will go towards the school’s bursary, helping to fund free places for local children whose parents are unable to meet the cost of an independent school education.
