All Star Tennis have been working since 1999 to provide coaching programmes, courses and facilities for tennis around the borough, starting with Wandsworth Common.  In 2013 they teamed up with tennis provider Will to Win, and All Star Tennis now manage 28 courts at Wandsworth Common, Tooting Common, King George’s Park, Wandsworth Park, Furzedown Rec in Tooting and Leader’s Gardens in Putney. All Star Tennis and Will to Win have funded the refurbishment programme which is well underway at these venues, and participation has increased by an astonishing 80%.

Finton’s Head of Sport Anthony Dalton has a keen eye for an opportunity, and asked Ben White, co-founder of All Star Tennis, whether his plans for Tooting Common might include some all-weather pitches for hockey. Finton House and All Star Tennis got together on the project, and with help from Finton Bursar Andrew Allan, the dream is now a reality for Finton pupils and the whole community.

As Ben White remarked:

“With vision, determination and patience, it is amazing what we have achieved by working together.”

These improved facilities are amongst the best in the area and are ready for public use. To find out more or book a court visit www.allstartennis.co.uk
