The Stars that Shine

Talented young pupils from Peregrines Pre-Preparatory School gave an impressive performance to parents recently in the school’s festive production, ‘Shine Star Shine’, a twist on a traditional nativity.

Early Years children from the Putney-based school put on the special performance for family and friends, following weeks of hard-work and preparation for the highly-anticipated show. The pupils showcased their musical talents with confidently sung songs and spoke clearly when narrating the tale.

‘Shine Star Shine’, told the story of a star who was encouraged by the other stars to try and shine, but couldn’t until he received the news that Jesus had been born and then he shone even brighter than before.

Meanwhile, older pupils from Falcons School for Girls got into the festive spirit with a beautiful carol service.

Headmistress at Falcons School for Girls and Peregrines Pre-Preparatory, Sara Williams-Ryan commented: “We are so proud of our pupils for their spectacular performances. Both the Falcons Girls and Peregrines Pre-Prep children worked incredibly hard to perfect their presentations and this was clearly evident in the final productions.

“We encourage our pupils to express their creativity to ensure that learning is memorable and inspiring, the twist on a traditional Christmas Nativity is a great example of the opportunities that we provide for our children to enable them to do this.”

Enjoying a convenient location within the leafy conservation area of Woodborough Road, Putney with spacious green play areas, specialist facilities and dedicated teachers, Peregrines Pre-Preparatory and Falcons School for Girls will inspire and challenge children to foster a curiosity and interest in the world around them and to develop a love of learning.
