Established in 1877, Belleville primary is a popular and successful school that prides itself on providing its pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum. Bellville’s pupils reflect the diversity of the Wandsworth and London area, with a huge variety of languages, cultures, and background being represented. Due to their growing popularity, Belleville was asked to expand and now boasts the largest intake in the Wandsworth area with 120 children entering Reception each year.
Over the recent years, both their three-story building on Webb’s Road and site at Meteor Street have benefited from multi-million-pound refurbishments that help support their high standard of learning.
As well as ensuring the highest standard in the core subject areas of Reading, Writing and Maths they also employ specialist teachers for French, Art, Music, SEN, PE as well as actors, musicians, artist and coaches on a part-time basis. Their impressive range of extracurricular activates is constantly changing to allow pupils the opportunity to learn new skills and expand their interests.
Pupils at the school have the opportunity to learn through a wide range of educational events and trips which help enrich the learning experience.
In 2011 Belleville Primary School transferred to Academy status, this has enabled the school to have a greater capacity to invest in new areas and offer the pupils even more academic opportunities.
