I really like Bill's too - only hope they can make it big enough as I'm sure it will be super popular.

Lords seems ok too, don't know it.

Neither are becoming estate agents - yay !

The Thai is turning into Bill's. I have just noticed that the larger la Cuisiniere will become Lords of Notting Hill. What happened to the Mary Portas shop?

Sorry Annabel I meant the Thai on Northcote Road. So many threads, so little time.............I get confused in my advancing years. :?

The Thai has shut this week and is being refitted for a Ben's Canteen.

Capsticks is moving into the small Cusineire unit. Don't know what the big unit is going to be yet.

As the poster above asks, does anyone know what is happening in the two spaces on Battersea rise where Adventure Bar used to be?

Does anyone know what is going in at the other end of Battersea Rise - in what used to be Adventure Bar and the restaurant next door? Next to the Dip & Flip burger place.

....nobody's talking about Entree...or Soif?? Why not?? That bad ??? :D

Lots of talk of the new 'cornish tiger' so i'll pitch in on this; love the place. Not only is it great, but it's NOT A CHAIN !! You should definitely give it a try!

Cote in my experience is super kids friendly. My kids love it there and so are we. Their steak tartare is v good and their menu is very varied. So glad it is coming. Very sad to hear about Strada, we too loved it.
Cant say i will miss Cattle Grid ;)

The guys behind Cote also launched Strada and subsequently sold the Cote franchise to a private equity firm last year. Strada is owned by the cafe rouge group which also runs Bella Italia that is providing to be more popular than Strada and actually expanding. Too bad as we really like Strada as a family destination that was a bit more grown up than Pizza Express! (although I think Cote is also a family friendly dining experience as well).

I went to Breakfast Club at Christmas with some girlfriends for brunch - kid free - and I loved it!

The service is very friendly and very relaxed, I can totally understand why people would queue. I was pregnant at the time and the guy on the door offered me a seat, then gave me a free coffee when we got inside by way of apology for having to queue. And I have to say, for breakfast, it was pretty good - but definitely hangover food - don't go there if you like Wolseley style breakfasts! The Bloody Marys are bloody good too! We ended up staying over 5 hours and were never once hassled to hurry up or order more.

Not sure I would want to go with the kids, although I did see a few in there, it definitely caters for dinkys if you ask me... I will admit to feeling a teeny bit old ;)

We went to Strada a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible, not like the usual service/food at all. No surprise to hear it has closed, they must have known when we went and couldn't be bothered. I can't keep up with all the restaurants changing! I still miss Giraffe, but I hope Soif survives, that place is great.

What is with the queuing for the Breakfast club? Has anyone been?
