Re: child to walk to school on their own?

If it’s between the commons, there are so many others walking along there it should be safe. I’ve just started letting my girls do that walk occasionally, particularly when one has an activity at 8 and the other one doesn’t need to be in until 9. One goes to football on Saturday and sends a selfie u...

Re: Views on Nightingale Montessori 1 on Ramsden Road?

I can’t sing their praises enough. My twins are now 10 and we still have fond memories of their time there.

Just a few days ago we said hello to one of the staff members - for someone to be there that long is a rarity I think. Consistency of staff demonstrates a well managed happy environment.

Re: Police on bramfield road - any idea what happened?

Another ‘Rolex robbery’ carried out by moped riders. I was in Liors on Webbs Road talking to one of the investigating officers as they were viewing CCTV footage. This recent spate of robberies is a repeat of what happened several years ago, even using the same routes and methods. There was an arrest ...

Re: Daylight Mugging on Thurleigh Road - BE CAREFUL

Police were alerted to suspicious moped drivers yesterday after a post on Next Door and were in the area looking for them. Not long after speaking with them on Wroughton Rd we saw an unmarked vehicle racing to the area and all this was around the time of the incident yesterday, only moments after we...

Re: Scam phone alert - pretending to be HMRC

Oh the joys of 'Officer Mike Henry'! I had this call last week and an American / Indian accented person calling me Ma'm - a bit of a giveaway it wasn't HMRC. I just couldn't resist being a menace. Having been told that an officer was coming round to take payment from me, and me explaining I needed t...

Re: Recommendations for beach shoes for kids?

Lidl has hundreds of pairs - 3.00 each. I picked up 3 pairs last week, as I did last year. That cheap you can leave them on holiday if there’s not a lot of room in your case.

Re: Local jewellers for Cartier battery replacement

A Cartier watch - or any high value watch should be properly serviced by the manufacturer. Harrods is the best place for this or Cartier direct. This will cost several hundred pounds but when a watch is worth thousands, it should be cared for.

Re: Summer Holiday Clay Camp

My girls (in year 4) did this last year at Broomwood school and loved it. Pradip is a very calm teacher and they particularly liked him as well as the class. They are booked to go again.

Re: Au pair’s food costs

I don’t think you are being unreasonable at all. Sounds like she is living a life of luxury - gym, PT etc - I’d happily swap! How about if you start ‘meal planning’ in that at the start of the week you write out for each day what you will all eat together, and accomodating her of course in your 3 me...

Re: In tonight's ES - Battersea councillor James Cousins joins the Renew party to fight Brexit & offer a final say

Who cares if you’re drunk!!!!

It seems that PS has such a negative impact on so many posts.

Keep up with bringing awareness to everyone.

If a post offends - don’t read it and then follow it.......

Re: Some questions for EU nationals voting in local elections on Brexit and the Renew Party who want a final say on the

Interesting post. Too little being done about this political mess by too few. I feel powerless but following your posts, gives me hope and encouragement to fight.
