Air conditioning?

Hello
Without wanting to tempt fate can I ask if you've had air conditioning installed and how much did it cost?

Remembering how the summers were a few years ago.

Thank you.

Re: Al fresco lunch for 60th birthday - venue suggestions needed

Hard agree about Petersham - it's just so gorgeous and special.

That aside I"d be looking for a hotel with fancy outside space but it won't be as special as Petersham.

Enjoy!

Re: Whats sport like at Alleyns School?

Alleyn's have a decent sports offer and motivated staff but as there's only around 75 each of boys and girls per year their teams are often just not in the same league as the larger single-sex schools I agree - this is what I was trying to say earlier. It's not that they are "bad" at spor...

Re: Whats sport like at Alleyns School?

Agree with Goldhawk. Unless he is really really sporty, then he'll be fine. They don't play the all-boys school at most sports but those places are quite excluding. So unless he wants to be a rugby pro etc then it won't matter. I've always divided the schools into: 1. good club players (Emanuel, Tri...

Re: Challenging Stepdaughter - Advice Pls

I think SD has level 1 autism ( Aspergers ) as she cannot deal with anything new , huge social anxiety , hates textures and noises. BUT its hard to tell what is normal teenage behaviour and what isn't. I think you may very well be right here. The bright light aversion can be a sign and certainly ma...

Re: White at a wedding?

Graham Norton used to say that a bride's wedding day is the one day when everyone has to do what she wants! Want the bridesmaids dressed as extras from Time Bandits - you got it. Want a Dr Who themed cake from the really bad Sylvestor McCoy episodes - coming right up. So if your wife won't go along ...

Heatpumps in London?

Hi
We're slowly exploring new boiler options and I'm assuming heat pumps aren't a thing for our London terraced houses - is that true?

Is it also true that log burners are also no longer allowed?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Golf simulator at Wandsworth Gothique

I know right!

I'd have thought it was a great way of giving people a taster of it.

Two present questions: secret santa and cooking gifts for Xmas?

Hello Two questions. I need to buy a secret santa for a twenty something bloke - he's into sport and is a bit of a lad - any ideas for a gift? Secondly, I was brought up in a bit of a feminist household and so any gifts at christmas or birthdays which were to do with cooking or the house were big no...

Golf simulator at Wandsworth Gothique

Hi
There is a new golf simulator thing at Wandsworth Gothique.

https://www.sgcwandsworth.com/

Are these any good? Thinking of a voucher or something for Xmas presents but OH is a keen golfer and not sure if these are a gimmick or not.
