Re: Has anyone had to tell their husband that they smell?!

Blenkarne, I had to tell a female colleague who was also a friend that her personal hygiene wasn't fabulous. I spent ages trying to think of the best way to frame it and remember questioning if she changed deodorant but mostly just came straight out with it. It was never discussed again and all was ...

Re: Clap for Carers returns this week and will include 'heroes'

Couldn't agree more Familycompleted. Not that I don't think the whole Clap for Carers wasn't a fab idea, it was but as this is now our third lockdown I think maybe more practical measures would be more welcome.

Re: when is the best time to tell the children we are splitting up?

i am so sorry to read about your situation. I have no qualifications in this area at all but I would be absolutely go with telling them after Xmas. If you are all going to be together I imagine it will be very confusing for them if you tell them before and are then all together. I hope that you find...

Re: Meeting in private garden If access through house

I don't think that you're wrong muddy boots but it seems to me that if the intention is to be outside but the only access is through the house which takes 10 seconds then I think it should be allowed. I think if a guest wears a mask and doesn't touch anything on their way through then all should be ...

Ravenstone Street closed to traffic - Ritherdon Road to get the squeeze?

This is probably a good idea for Ravenstone School but it'll have a big knock-on effect for Ritherdon Road The scheme will see through traffic deterred from accessing Oakmead Road and Ravenstone Street. A barrier will prevent motor vehicles using these two residential roads as a cut through between ...

Re: Does anyone have any clarity over A level exam grades?

I also understand that mocks and then actual results for individual subjects from previous years will be taken into account. I don't envy teachers at all.

Re: Park incident

Hi, firstly sorry for your stress, as if there aren't enough difficult situations to be dealing with just now.  I'm not a doctor, but I imagine if you went home quickly and washed etc. then your toddler will be ok, that is even she touched his face at all?! With regards to the woman trying to touch ...

Re: Bolingbroke Academy

I don't have children at the school but have two good friends who have their children there and only have good things to say. One has two children at Bolingbroke and another at a fee paying school (sports scholarship) and has been very happy. The other has a son there and has mentioned that it is ve...

Re: Friendship status quo upset

It could be that the new addition is acting a bit bolder than usual as she feels a bit intimidated, I have seen that too. I bet that you all have so many in jokes etc. that she spends a large amount of time feeling very left out. Just a thought!
