It could be that the new addition is acting a bit bolder than usual as she feels a bit intimidated, I have seen that too. I bet that you all have so many in jokes etc. that she spends a large amount of time feeling very left out. Just a thought!

I think it could possibly be a Chestnut Grove School tie. The children there all seem to wear ties of varying colours (I guess house ties?) and one of the colours is this gold colour.
